Ok, what sports do you like to watch on TV? πŸ™‚ Lithuanians are crazy about basketball. Since we have Ruta Meilutyte, swimming is one of the most watched sports too. I love football. Ok, martial arts too but to do much more than to watch if honestly πŸ™‚ And now most of us were in front of TV because of Light athletics World championship.
Lithuania is proud of our new World champion, discus thrower Andrius Gudzius. I am really happy for him! I also kept my fingers crossed so strong for our 800 m runner and beautiful girl Egle Balciunaite, she did good job! For sure wished all the best to others too. However, yesterday most Lithuanians watched the final of women high jumpers. And expected the best results from Airine Palsyte. Sorry if someone is angry about this, but as spectator and not a professional in light athletics at all, I think she is one of best representatives of this sport in Lithuania.
Ok, we did not see Airine on podium. Next time πŸ˜‰ But I did my conclusions πŸ™‚ From now high jumping is in my favorite sports list to watch. I always considered it to be very interesting. Fast changing results, rules that are easy understood and similar stuff is one side. The other – charismatic and beautiful athletes. Honestly, this is a sport of models πŸ™‚ All girls are so sooo beautiful! Some of them different and charismatic! I will always think that athletes are interesting not only because of results and professional criteria. Charisma or beauty of athletes or even better both of them does it’s positive impact for sport too πŸ™‚
If you didn’t see the final, watch it. Or even check profiles of some high jumpers: British beauty Morgan Lake, charismatic American Inika McPherson, one more USA athlete Vashti Cunningham, our neighbor beautiful Ukrainian Yuliya Levchenko, for sure Lithuanian Airine Palsyte and all others – my biggest compliments to all of them πŸ™‚
